Suzette Brown I am the author of "Alzheimer's Through My Mother's Eyes". This book/memoir is my journey thru journals, medical notes and documentation, calendars, assisted living facilities and convalescent center medical files. It is the story of taking care of my mother for 5 years as she descended into Alzheimer's. My top priority was maintaining respect for my mother. I wanted readers to know how it actually was in my journey for myself and for my mother. I was her advocate, her voice and her protector. She needed me to speak for her and make sure she was safe and cared for. My reviews on Amazon include notes such as "what all of us feel, but no one wants to say". I hope I have tapped into the feelings and emotions beset by all caregivers. Our loved ones need us to help and take care of them - and in my case - many continued to tell me that Mom was "FINE". She certainly was not fine - and I continued to offer other's full care of Mom and also letting them know I would turn over full reigns of my DPOA assigned to me - to them to take better care of Mom than I seemed to be doing. None wanted to take me up on my offer, but continued to express that was Mom was "fine". I welcome feedback, conversation, suggestions, or advice. Thank you taking the time to read my story. Suzette
